Soy wax... contains nothing artificial, which makes it a better alternative to paraffin wax (made from petroleum oil and produces harmful by-products when burned or melted). Soy wax is non-toxic making it better both for the environment and your health!
Wooden wicks... are more sustainable than cotton wicks, as thousands of wicks can be attained from a single tree. Many cotton wicks are dipped in paraffin to make them easier to light. Paraffin can release carcinogens into the air we breathe as well as the damaging soot coating the walls of your home. Wood wicks not only reduce the amount of soot going into the home, but they aren't treated with anything to help them stay lit. This means a cleaner burn for you and your home.
Phthalate Free Scents... Studies have shown that phthalates may be linked to numerous harmful effects on humans. Why would we want to breathe those in!
Recyclable Packaging... Why a Tin Can you ask? Well, we found out that sometimes, tin cans in the factory can have small defects and are therefore discarded. We couldn’t imagine this, so we thought “hang on, we’ll give them a purpose before they have to go to recycling.” And that was that, TinCandle’s were born!
